GVB day-tickets

In Amsterdam, you require a so-called OV-Chip Card for travelling. There are a few different kinds available. If you’re staying in Amsterdam for a few days, your best buy is a multiple-Day Ticket – this is the most inexpensive option.
You can buy these cards at reception and at the GVB Tickets & Info Desks or vending machines at every station. Such a card gives you unlimited travel on all GVB trams, buses and metros, without having to worry your ticket’s validity will run out. Nice and easy!
1-Day Ticket. This ticket is valid for 24 hours after your first check-in. Within those 24 hours, you can transfer and check in and out as many times as you like. This 1-Day Ticket can also be bought on the tram or bus, from the driver or ticket collector. Keep in mind, though, that on the tram or bus you can only pay by card.
